André Blais is a Canadian-born restaurateur and entrepreneur with over 30 years of experience in London's hospitality industry. Best known as the founder of Bodean’s BBQ, André helped introduce authentic American barbecue to London, building Bodean’s into one of the capital’s most recognisable casual dining brands. His earlier career also included involvement with the pioneering Belgian restaurant group Belgo. Today, André is the founder and Managing Director of Gerry’s Hot Subs, a premium American-inspired hot sandwich concept combining quality ingredients, bold flavours and a relaxed deli-diner atmosphere. Following the successful launch of Gerry’s in Exmouth Market in 2024, the brand has expanded with a second location at London Bridge in 2026. With decades of hands-on experience in restaurant development, brand building and operations, André brings an independent restaurateur’s perspective to the challenges and opportunities facing the UK hospitality industry.
