Rob Swain is the General Manager of KFC UK & Ireland, leading a business made up of over 1,000 restaurants and a 33,500-strong team driving the brand’s success. Prior to his appointment in February 2025, Rob was Chief Operating Officer of KFC Global, where he led global franchise operations, restaurant innovation, delivery, compliance, and operational transformation for over 30,000 restaurants worldwide. A KFC veteran, Rob has been with business for more than 15 years, starting off as an Area Coach in Ipswich overseeing eight restaurants, before progressing to leadership roles across the UK and Europe, serving as UK & Ireland’s COO between 2016 and 2022. During this time, Rob led the strategic roadmap for Operations in the market, unlocking unprecedented channel growth and building strong, lasting partnerships with franchisees, whilst also steering the business through the supply chain crisis and the pandemic.
