Samyukta first obtained a bachelor's degree in Sociology with Psychology from The City University, London, before undertaking a M.Sc. in International Business from The University of Nottingham. As part of her studies, she attended business school in China and travelled extensively around this country to cities such as Ningbo, Nanjing, Hangzhou & Shanghai. Samyukta’s discerning eye for aesthetics teamed with an Executive MBA degree from Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, Switzerland, enabled her to start out as a Design & Operations Associate at The Leela Palaces, Hotels & Resorts, (the company founded by her late grandfather, Captain CP Krishnan Nair). After working her way to becoming the Head of Design and Operations at The Leela, Samyukta launched a luxury sleepwear and lifestyle label 'Dandelion' in 2015. Following this, she combined her twin passions for gastronomy and design together to launch two Indian restaurants, the fine dining Jamavar in December 2016, the hip and buzzing Bombay Bustle in 2017, in the heart of Mayfair, London. Samyukta then went on to open MiMi Mei Fair, a discreet dining destination that journeys through Hong Kong, Singapore and mainland China, followed by KOYN Japanese, a Izakaya on Grosvenor Street. Samyukta then took the success of Jamavar and MiMi Mei Fair to Dubai, with Jamavar opening in August 2024 and MiMi Mei Fair opening in December 2024 at the Address Residences, Opera district, Downtown Dubai. Continuing to evolve her portfolio, Samyukta most recently introduced MiKo Mei Fair in April 2026. An exciting new concept that brings together the bold flavours and energy of KOYN Thai with the refined, narrative-driven world of MiMi Mei Fair. Through these immersive concepts, Samyukta has firmly established herself as a leading figure in the global hospitality industry.
